VOA Middle East correspondent C.McDonald has more from our bureau in Cairo. "One Kachusha rocket sailed over the bow of the US navy ship in the Red Sea port of Aquba and slammed into a Jordanian warehouse nearby, killing a Jordanian soldier A.J.N. and seriously wounding another Jordanian. A Jordanian official told the state run petrol news agency that the second rocket exploded near the Aquaba military hospital and the third landed across the border near the Israeli town of Ellot. Petrol said an initial investigation indicates that the rockets were fired from a warehouse in Aquba that was rented a few days ago by four Iraqi and Egyptian men. A US navy statement said a rocket flow over the bow of the USS Ashland and hit a warehouse nearby pier leaving a two and half meter hole in the roof of building. The statement issued by the US Sixth Fleet in Bahrain said 2 US navy amphibian ships were in the port of Aquaba at the time of the attack. The statement said no American service members were injured. A German court has convicted a Moroccan man accused of aiding the hijackers who carried out the September 11th, 2001 terrist attacks in the United States but acquitted him from direct involvement in the attacks. Court's spokeswoman S. W. thru an interpreter announced the verdict. "The defendant has been sentenced for 7 years imprisonment for the membership of a terrist organization." Lawyers for the Moroccan say he will appeal. A Hamburg Court had convicted the man in 2003 of aiding and abetting the attacks. But in the appeal court overturned that verdict because the court was denied evidence from Al-Qaeda suspects held in the United States. US authorities later presented the court with summaries of interrogations of the detainees.
